Turkish Republic of Northern CyprusProduct Title: 1970 Cyprus (Turkish Post) Social Aid Set of 2v Rouletted PerforationsProduct Description: This set features a 1970 Cyprus (Turkish Post) issue of Social Aid stamps, presented as a set of 2 stamps with rouletted perforations. The stamps are denoted as Michel Nr. I-II and bear inscriptions "Türk Cemaat Meclisi" (Turkish Community Assembly) and "Sosyal Yardım Pulu" (Social Aid Stamp). These stamps were officially released on April 8th, 1970.Mainly intended for postal franking purposes, these stamps were occasionally used for postal surtax on local post within the Turkish Community exclaves on the island. While most cancellations were accomplished using a black bar on envelopes, standard Cypriot Post circular date stamps (CDS) were also utilized in some instances.The uniqueness of this set lies in its classification as NVI (non-value indicator) stamps. The face value of the stamps is creatively portrayed through delicate flower petal designs. Each petal signifies a value of 1 Mill, equivalent to 1/1000 Cyprus Pound. Consequently, the Nr. I stamp holds a value of 5 Mills (5 petals on 1 flower), and the Nr.
