Rare 1890s Austrian postcard with motif of the Hotel Elisabeth in Bad Aussee with dramatic Dachstein mountain backdrop, black and white photographic view. The reverse shows an Austrian 5-heller stamp AUSTRIA with postmark from November 1897, extensive handwritten German text and publisher's sign "Salzkammergut-Verlag Steir. BAD AUSSEE". This early pre 1900 Alpenresort postcard features authentic postal history with clear postmark and contemporary correspondence. Excellent collectible documenting the Austrian tourism industry and postal rates of the late 19th century.
